Odds and ends

I have been working like crazy to get caught up on proofing! If you're waiting on your session to be posted online, please be patient as I am working the best I can. (Working used to be so much easier before my 2.5 year old decided that she needs to "help" mommy every chance she gets....)

I will be posting my Christmas special very soon. I have had many email requests in the past week inquiring about booking a session. I am working on my holiday schedule this week. Working around my husband's schedule and finding a babysitter is not an easy task! I hope to post my available dates by the end of the week. If you are looking for a "package deal" this year, I am not offering one. I know that I will be offering a session and Christmas cards only in my special. You won't want to miss the incredible deal on my cards!

I will close with a post of little Baylor and his daddy having a special moment the other day at the park. I LOVE outside sessions and especially when you're dealing with an active 2 year old.......right Melissa? I hope you enjoy your sneek peak and your proofs should be posted very soon:)

Brand New Ordering Site is L-I-V-E!

I have a brand new ordering site! Here is the link: www.juliedodd.com/ordering

This new ordering site will take the place of the current one that is linked from my website right now. Some changes on my actual website will be:
*removing the "slideshow" tab as you will be able to view a slideshow in your gallery at the new ordering site. This is a great option for you because you don't have to leave the ordering site to view a slideshow like you have to now. (It also eases up my work flow on my end which is always a plus!)
As for the new ordering site:
*Now, when ordering collages you will email me the images you want me to use and I will design the collage and add it onto your gallery to purchase.
*You can invite family and friends to view your images
*You can choose an option for shipping or to pick up at the studio
*You will see when the gallery expires and will even receive an email reminding you that your gallery will expire soon. Don't forget that a 25.00 re-upload fee will apply for all galleries that expire before orders are placed.
*You can have a password protected gallery or a public gallery
The list actually could go on and on but these are some of my favorite options. I am still in the process of getting the site tweaked and am learning how to use it at the same time you will be. Please be patient and I hope you enjoy the ease of navigation!

Lots of requests for Senior pictures

I have had lots of requests here lately from people wanting me to do senior pictures. I would be happy to accept some senior appointments in the month of September only. October through November cuts into my busy Christmas season and I am dedicating my calendar for leaps and bounds members as well as regular or new customers.

A little down time

School has started back for the new year! With a new year comes lots of preparation and extra work for school. That being said, I will be only scheduling newborn sessions for the next few weeks. I must get caught up on the sessions I've already taken and work on processing orders as they come in. I am, though, having difficulty loading sessions onto the Online Viewing site. Check for your sessions on the slideshow tab for now.

My son started his first day of First Grade today. I'll leave this with a post of Jamison looking so big and ready for the new school year. I hope everyone has a great one!

My kids pictures......S-C-O-R-E!

I am so excited that I finally got to have a session with my own children for a change:) Even though it was dreadfully hot outside, my children ended up rolling around in the grass getting their clothes all dirty, my son stepped into a nest of wasps and got stung 6 times.....I still managed to get some great shots of them together and individually. I figured that since I usually give you all a sneak peek from your session, that I would share a peek of my session.

Getting back in the swing of things

What a wonderful week off we had around here! We went to St. Louis and then I went to a kdg conference at Tan-tar-a. I am in total shock that there are only three weeks until the official first day of school! Does everybody else procrastinate like myself? I decide I'm going to get all kinds of projects done before school starts back and I wait until the last two weeks to finally begin.......

I have a few openings between now and August 12 (which is my first day back to work). If you are needing an appointment, please contact me! I am pretty flexible for the next two weeks. To be honest, I am in "newborn withdrawal" around here! Bring your brand new babies to me so I can provide you with some really great memories of your sweet little ones.
