Christmas Card reminder

Ordering site

Just a little note to let you know that the ordering site has a different home page. To view the galleries like you normally have been viewing, you will need to create an account. There is no charge. All you simply have to do is put in your email address and enter a password. If you log in to the same computer all of the time, it will save your login info and you won't have to enter each time unless you choose to log out. I hope this clarifies any questions or concerns you might have.

Wow! Thanks to all of you for booking your Christmas session already! For those of you that might still be interested, I have a few more spots still available. The only date left to book is on Saturday, November 8th. I have openings for sessions at these times: 9:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00. The following dates will be dedicated strictly to Christmas sessions this year:
Saturday, November 1 9-5
Sunday, November 2 1-4
Friday, November 7 5-8
Saturday, November 8 9-5

$ 40.00 SITTING FEE IS REQUIRED ON ALL SESSIONS
I will schedule sessions every hour. Please arrive on time, dressed and ready to go. To make an appointment, email me. Once I confirm your appointment, you will be directed to go to my ordering site to pay for the sitting fee to reserve your spot. You will go to the “Christmas session” album and sign in for an account to begin the payment process. During this process, you can choose to pay online or choose to send me a check via mail.

Your session is a full session this year. This means you will have a full gallery of proofs to choose from to order. A normal session will have 20-30 proofs to view. You can order pictures individually (ala carte) or choose between two packages. You can even choose to order multiple packages and ala carte prints in one order! The first package includes: 8x10, 5x7(2), 4x6(4) and 16 wallets of the SAME POSE for $ 70.00. This is a savings of
$ 20.00! The second package includes: 5x7(2), 4x6(10) and 8 wallets for $ 80.00. This is a savings of $ 29.00! Sales tax will be added to all print and package orders.

Since the opening of my new studio, I have been so busy with sessions I never got around to posting a Grand Opening Special. I have a once in a lifetime special this holiday season! You will have the chance to purchase your digital files from your session onto a CD. Along with these full resolution files, you will receive a copyright release. This release will permit you to print these files at the location of your choice. This offer is only valid for a Christmas session! The cost to purchase this CD is $ 350.00. (This fee is in addition to your paid sitting fee). You can even wait to view your gallery before you decide if this special is for you! Sound expensive? Remember that with these images you could use them to purchase photo gifts for your family and friends. I can direct you to some online websites that offer an assortment of calendars, books, and other novelty items to order.

#1 $ 100.00
Choose your favorite image from your session (ONE ONLY) and receive a full resolution file on a CD! This will include a copyright release for you to design and print your card at the place of your choice. Please keep in mind, this is NOT a pre-designed card for purchase, it is an image only. With this option, the possibilities are endless! You can even choose to make enlargements as gifts for your family and friends from this one image. WHAT A DEAL!

#2 $60.00
Quantity 4x6 prints of one image. Minimum of 50.
Add increments of 25 more for $20.00 each. For example, if you need 75 4x6 prints to put into your Christmas cards, this will cost you $ 80.00

These cards are simply awesome…….not to mention the price! They are designed on the front as well as the back and they come with envelopes. I have an example of these cards in my studio for you to view so you can see the beauty of this linen card in real life. You will be impressed! The texture of the linen paper gives these cards an upscale appearance and they are sure to impress your friends and family as well.


The deadline for ordering Christmas Cards is Friday, November 14.
The portrait order deadline will be Wednesday, November 26. I will not accept orders after this date. If you are purchasing prints for gifts, make your list and check it twice so you can get your order sent to me on time:)

Senior Session

Below are a few pictures of Casey. She traveled all the way from Springfield, MO for her senior pics! I had a blast with your session and really enjoyed your youthfulness Casey. You can come back anytime. It's great to feel like a teenager again...even if it was for just a few hours! Thank you for coming to me for your senior pictures. Man...It seems like yesterday (and not 15 years ago) that I was a senior......

Odds and ends

I have been working like crazy to get caught up on proofing! If you're waiting on your session to be posted online, please be patient as I am working the best I can. (Working used to be so much easier before my 2.5 year old decided that she needs to "help" mommy every chance she gets....)

I will be posting my Christmas special very soon. I have had many email requests in the past week inquiring about booking a session. I am working on my holiday schedule this week. Working around my husband's schedule and finding a babysitter is not an easy task! I hope to post my available dates by the end of the week. If you are looking for a "package deal" this year, I am not offering one. I know that I will be offering a session and Christmas cards only in my special. You won't want to miss the incredible deal on my cards!

I will close with a post of little Baylor and his daddy having a special moment the other day at the park. I LOVE outside sessions and especially when you're dealing with an active 2 year old.......right Melissa? I hope you enjoy your sneek peak and your proofs should be posted very soon:)

Brand New Ordering Site is L-I-V-E!

This new ordering site will take the place of the current one that is linked from my website right now. Some changes on my actual website will be:
*removing the "slideshow" tab as you will be able to view a slideshow in your gallery at the new ordering site. This is a great option for you because you don't have to leave the ordering site to view a slideshow like you have to now. (It also eases up my work flow on my end which is always a plus!)
As for the new ordering site:
*Now, when ordering collages you will email me the images you want me to use and I will design the collage and add it onto your gallery to purchase.
*You can invite family and friends to view your images
*You can choose an option for shipping or to pick up at the studio
*You will see when the gallery expires and will even receive an email reminding you that your gallery will expire soon. Don't forget that a 25.00 re-upload fee will apply for all galleries that expire before orders are placed.
*You can have a password protected gallery or a public gallery
The list actually could go on and on but these are some of my favorite options. I am still in the process of getting the site tweaked and am learning how to use it at the same time you will be. Please be patient and I hope you enjoy the ease of navigation!

Lots of requests for Senior pictures

I have had lots of requests here lately from people wanting me to do senior pictures. I would be happy to accept some senior appointments in the month of September only. October through November cuts into my busy Christmas season and I am dedicating my calendar for leaps and bounds members as well as regular or new customers.

A little down time

School has started back for the new year! With a new year comes lots of preparation and extra work for school. That being said, I will be only scheduling newborn sessions for the next few weeks. I must get caught up on the sessions I've already taken and work on processing orders as they come in. I am, though, having difficulty loading sessions onto the Online Viewing site. Check for your sessions on the slideshow tab for now.

My son started his first day of First Grade today. I'll leave this with a post of Jamison looking so big and ready for the new school year. I hope everyone has a great one!

My kids pictures......S-C-O-R-E!

I am so excited that I finally got to have a session with my own children for a change:) Even though it was dreadfully hot outside, my children ended up rolling around in the grass getting their clothes all dirty, my son stepped into a nest of wasps and got stung 6 times.....I still managed to get some great shots of them together and individually. I figured that since I usually give you all a sneak peek from your session, that I would share a peek of my session.

Getting back in the swing of things

What a wonderful week off we had around here! We went to St. Louis and then I went to a kdg conference at Tan-tar-a. I am in total shock that there are only three weeks until the official first day of school! Does everybody else procrastinate like myself? I decide I'm going to get all kinds of projects done before school starts back and I wait until the last two weeks to finally begin.......

I have a few openings between now and August 12 (which is my first day back to work). If you are needing an appointment, please contact me! I am pretty flexible for the next two weeks. To be honest, I am in "newborn withdrawal" around here! Bring your brand new babies to me so I can provide you with some really great memories of your sweet little ones.

Future Cardinals All Star

Here is baby Jonah. He is a member of my Leaps and Bounds program and I have enjoyed watching him grow so big this year! He is 9 months old and I loved these 2 shots of him. Enjoy your sneak peek guys...

What a "trip"

it is to..........take pictures of 2 1/2 year old triplets! These are my little buddies and I have been their photographer since they were in their mommy's belly. I want to show you what a "normal" session with these 3 starts out like...

Perfection

Fresh.....tiny.....sweet and perfect in every way was baby Jacob. His mommy Kelli brought Jacob to visit me before he was 3 weeks old. This is my favorite image that I've taken in a LONG time! Thanks for being my third newborn model and I can't wait to watch Jacob grow in my Leaps and Bounds program.

Sessions are going fast for the remainder of July. I will be on vacation from July 19-27.

My big brother gets married

Congratulations to Jeff and Sarah Beth! They got married on Saturday in New Madrid. It was a beautiful day and we all had a wonderful time.

We met at the Hunter Dawson home for pictures and I was able to snap a few for myself. Before anyone asks, I was NOT the wedding photographer....:) Enjoy some of the photos below.

Newborn Model Session #1

This is 2 week old sweet baby Jack. I work with his grandma and as you can see in one of the pictures below, she is very proud! I had so much fun trying out my new lighting techniques on Jack and his mom:) Thanks for coming guys and I hope you like your sneak peek of our session.
